Nova couldn’t believe what she’d just arranged to partake in. All kind of things started going through her mind almost instantly after she’d agreed to the fling. Things like what if people viewed her as a home wrecker because technically Diesel was still very much a married man. What if the two of them agreed to something and he backed out or what if she changed her mind? She discreetly needed to take a moment and get herself together.

“I need to go to the ladies’ room. I’ll be right back.”

Nova stood up and wobbled a little bit from getting up too fast. She assured Diesel she was okay before strutting towards the restrooms. There was a little more twist in her hips as she walked away. Making it to the ladies’ room, she closed the door and called Elise.

“Hheellooo,” Elise sang.

“Bitch I did it! You made me do it!” Nova shrieked into the phone.

“What I make you do?”

“Told that man I’m down for a damn fling. Who the hell am I kidding? I think I had too much to drink. I can’t be out here like this,” Nova ranted.

“Nova, calm down. Breathe. You’re a grown ass woman who can make decisions for her life. I know you and you can’t be worried about what other people will think either because people do what they want but then try to tell you what you should do.”

“I guess. I’m not used to anything like this. What do I do now?”

“Where are you at?”

“In the restroom at the lounge. I came in here to call you,” Nova explained.

“Go out there and have another drink if you want to. Find out more about him if you want. Ride some dick if you want. Whatever you do, don’t be doing all that crying over Brian’s dog ass,” Elise told her.

“Okay. Don’t judge me either! Love you. Bye.”

Nova ended the call and relieved her bladder. The alcohol was going to have her running back and forth to the restroom the rest of the night. For some reason, whenever she drank and used it that first time, she would have to go frequently after that. Nova finished washing her hands and left out. Diesel wasn’t in his seat when she walked back to where they were. She scanned the room thinking he might’ve gone to the bar but didn’t see him.

“Damn, he left me hanging already,” she whispered to herself.

Before she could get too deep into her thoughts, there was some type of commotion coming from the entrance. At first, Nova didn’t think much about it until a woman’s voice got louder. She walked closer, along with some of the other hotel patrons, and her eyes landed on Diesel and Alexis. The man couldn’t catch a break. She felt bad for him.

“You must be here with a bitch! I want you to come home so we can talk, Diesel!” Alexis yelled, talking with her hands.

“You’re causing a scene. You need to leave,” he replied calmly.

“I don’t give a fuck about these people! Please baby, at least come outside so I can explain.
